Perhaps @Dave Olson could chime in to clarify?

On pages 36-37 in the new catalog.

1) Train set picture shows 4 tank cars, description says 3, although “Set includes” also states 4.

2) At bottom of page 36, picture shows UTLX 3-pack, description states TILX (684447).

3) Under additional features: “Minimum Curve: O31”?  None of my Lionel ES44’s will do O31. How will this one be manufactured differently to navigate such tight curves?

I don't have solid answers for you on this, but I ordered the set and the 3 pack. I'm guessing that the 3 pack has different road numbers from the four set cars.

The only thing I can think of is that the inside axel (nearest the fuel tank) would be blind, no flanges on the wheels. Though it might be possible to put the blind wheel set in the center. I have 072 minimums on my layout, so this doesn't really matter to me, but I have a number of engines that have that blind inside wheel set, and I hate them. They just don't track as well, and get hung up on switches.

I just looked back at the catalog, and the ES44AC description on the previous page says 054 minimum. I think that's the final answer for the engine. The 031 sounds as if it only refers to the cars. That would make sense, though it is a bit confusing as part of the set description.
