my only problem with the original challenger was the fact that it had only 2 pickup rollers. I had to bring power from the tender to prevent stalling out on back to back atlas switches.
Does anyone have a clue what the pickup arrangement will be on the new lionmaster challengers?

I think Lionel has seen the light, most Legacy locomotives have at least three and many time four rollers.
I checked the parts lists on the previous releases. The TMCC LionMaster Challenger had two single pickup rollers on the locomotive. The last LionMaster Challenger release was with Legacy and has two double rollers. So four rollers should be good on these new ones as well. I'm half tempted to get one myself.
Could the new rollers be installed on older locos?
