Here are some pictures of the new Milwaukee LRRC club car, a round roof boxcar decorated for Milwaukee Road. The Milwaukee Road built one experimental all-welded round roof car before settling on the ribside design. The Lionel car is actually a Pennsylvania prototype, which is riveted rather than welded and has some other differences. The biggest visual difference is that the Milwaukee prototype had an old-style horizontal brake wheel on a vertical shaft rather than the more modern style mounted vertically on the car end. I may have a go at changing that, probably using Atlas parts.
Here are the photos.
Here it is with another Lionel round roof car decorated for the Seaboard, which also had round roof cars. Coincidentally, the Seaboard car arrived a couple of days after the Milwaukee Road car. Charles Ro was blowing them out for $35.00 and I ordered it with some other sale items.
And here are the two Lionel cars with a Weaver B&O wagontop and a Milwaukee Road ribside.
Finally, someone was asking about the Milwaukee Road ACF 3-bay covered hopper. Just got this one, also from Charles Ro. It's an uncataloged MTH Premier item. The road number is correct. If I remember correctly, the Milwaukee only had five of these cars.
