New model 164 Log loader

GRJ, I believe its a 6-12915. I have no documentation and find no #'s on the unit. I was hoping you would reply as I recall from past searches you were working on a on a 164. I have found pics of the PCB online, but none with all the wiring intact.

MARKVB, I found the same document and it looks  to be for the postwar model. 

Forgot to add that Lionels service document shows the complete model part number as 601-2915-000. The document is a pictorial breakdown and has no schematic

Have you checked the Lionel Supplements?  One of those may have the log loader.  I have the TMCC version, but I don't have a wiring diagram.  I also had a couple of old ones I was rebuilding, but that's been some time ago, and they were the PW models.

The circuit board only has a handful of wires going to it, should be not that difficult to sort out which are the motor leads.

Do you have levers or buttons for the control box? 

I have levers, I suppose that's the TMCC version.

There's no wiring diagram for the 601-2915-000 in Supplement 34.

MOONMAN, I have the push/slider buttons controller.

GRJ- I know right!. I am stuck  in one of those over thinking whirlpools.  I'll go back to aging and painting of the thing to get rid of that carnival look it has and then jump back into the wiring.

Got it wired and operating as was. Took letting it sit and then going back to it with a clear head.

I have the same loader.  It was missing a wire from one of the springs to the little board.  I added a wire from the spring to the board, but the motor does not run.  It can unload and the lights work.  Do you know where the wires go from the spring clips to the board.  Not sure if I screwed up the wire or if the motor is shot. It was new out of the box.

Do you have the Lionel model #/item #?

I haven't looked at mine since getting it working. It's on the grandkids table, so I can take a look if you have the same one.
