Well what do you think about the purple and yellow ES44 Hybrib. It sis a must have for me. I think it will look super running with the GE Hybrid. The price is also super. Only 125 to be made I don't think they will last long.

I might consider one to repaint, I already have the Hybrid, and I like the purple and yellow paint scheme, just not the MTH Electric Trains. Maybe it could add to the roster of the Shenandoah & Peach Hollow RR.
I agree it would be a good candidate for a repaint if you got it at a low price.
Not crazy about the color scheme, myself.
I think it is ugly, not for me at any price.
Well i like it don't no if i can buy it will have to see
I would have ordered it if it was 2 rail scale wheeled. I can't get the pilots either.

Where'd you hear of this?
(checks email) Nevermind.
I think I'll likely jump on this one--my train of York boxcars is starting to look pretty hefty (I'm up to 26 now) and one Imperial SD70ACE looks a little overwhelmed pulling 'em.

Ooh, it has charging lights too...(prints out page, makes mental note to order)
(Don West voice)"Limited Edition!"
Hmm...wonder if they're just using up excess hybrid-specific parts.

I was thinking the same thing. I would have been in for one, fantasy paint and all, if it was available with scale wheels and fixed pilots.

...keep the rails polished...

Most folks who have been following this forum for awhile would wonder aloud what any 2-railer would want anything to do with such an obvious fantasy scheme. Case in point:

If I were in a position to make such decisions, I'd assume--with substantial justification--that virtually all 2-railers (and 3RS-ers, for that matter) would feel the same way

Fixed pilots and kadee couplers are just awesome in general. Doesn't matter what the paint scheme is and how many rails you are running.
'Nuff said.
Placed my order yesterday. Yeah, I agree that I would prefer the fixed pilots... but at $370 compared to $500-$600 for a Lionel, I couldn't pass it up.
I like it- I wish they had them in 2-rail for the fixed pilots and longer handrails....I would use it as a demo unit for sure, and remove the lettering in the yellow up by the radiators- all in all it is a cool paint scheme..
I just watched the video and doesn't it state that it is 3/2 wheel available?
I could be mistaken but I'm not going to watch it again!
C.Sam, all new MTH Premier locos are 3/2 capable- what it means is you can interchange 2- or 3-rail wheelsets. But that does not give you the fixed pilot version of same...
Looks like some of us like this there are less than 30 left.
I would like to get one but I already have 3 NS Heritage engines on pre-order. along with 2 standard gauge locomotives...

Normally true, but then again I also have an "Isle of Denial" ATSF (not BNSF "Heritage") SD70ACe with scale wheels and fixed pilots.
