Very nice, I have a similar engine in G gauge by KM1; third from the top (page 5).

The DR/DB Class 44 Jumbo is one sweet freight engine.

I inquired about buying this engine from an on-line Euro Hobby center but the owner would not part with this engine, even at $4400.00

So are all of their O products available in a a 3 rail version?  The catalog is not clear and I've never bought any MTH products before.

I'd love to have a 3 rail European section, particularly British Rail, on my layout.  After college I backpacked throughout Western Europe, UK and Ireland and lived on the trains.  We slept on a train about every other night.  Modeling some European trains could be a lot of fun for me but I don't understand whats available in 3 rail.  I've always figured I'd have to do it in OO but I'd rather keep everything O Gauge/3 Rail.  Any ideas or suggestions?

All of MTH Euro engines will run and designed for 3 rail track.  They also can be operated via conventional and DCC modes.

Good luck; this BR44 in black and red is a beauty.  I have a BR50 in G scale.
