I just posted this notice of some new SMR products on the 2-Rail side:
SMR is offering Ironwood Model's 0-scale arch roof boxcar kits fully assembled, painted and lettered for your favorite railroad. The kits include SMR's brass 44" wood beam trucks and SMR's Link & Pin couplers. These American-Made kits are built by American Craftsmen to your order. Price is $189.95 plus S&H. If you want to do it yourself, SMR stocks Ironwood kits as well as two types of wood-beam trucks and two types of Link & Pin coupler sets.
So why am I posting it here as well?
Because although the trucks used with the kits are 2-rail, I am currently having a small run of trucks with 3-RAIL wheels being produced for me, so these cars will become available for 3-railers in the future. Also to let you know if you want to check them out, I will have 2-rail samples on display at York. So please stop by at our booth at AA-01 in Orange Hall. I will also show some samples at the Forum meeting.
SMR is also announcing a run of brass Arch Roof Passenger Cars in four different configurations and paint schemes: USMRR, Western & Atlantic, PRR and NY & Harlem. These are based upon Jackson & Sharp prototypes and are due in about a year. These cars will be available in both 2- and 3-RAIL configurations.
Of course, don't forget that our next engine is the "YONAH", our third "Great Locomotive Chase" model and that this year is the 150th Anniversary of that famous event.
Feel free to check out our web site with recently updated information:
Thanks,
