New SD70ACE Won't Add

I have a brand new Railking Imperial Wabash SD70Ace that will not add to my DCS system.  The locomotive comes alive with sound and smoke and appears to be in conventional mode -- it will run and I can control speed via the handles on my Z4000.  I have tried the locomotive also on a second (small) layout I have and get exactly the same result - comes alive and runs in conventional but will not add to DCS.  All of my other PS3 and PS2 locomotives work fine on both layouts.  I have checked the DCC-DCS switch and it is in the DCS position.  Please let me know if there is anything else I should try.
