I was finishing up work from last night installing the Chuff Sensor on my upgraded Hudson. I already had the sensor mounted. Being stupid I turned the engine position around on my work bench and and guess what. I was looking at the three wire connectors reversed and attached them backwards. Hot to ground and ground to hot. Wow, what a smoker.

Have you found an appropriate name for that scent?

Burning electronics or magic smoke scent? Lol.
Quick smoke fry!
That probably was NOT good for the Chuff-Generator!
Proper polarity always makes the C-G happy.
All is well. Installed new unit and paid attention this time. I had Frank Timko make some small flywheels to mount on the Lionel worm shaft to use as a tape mount. For the can motor upgrade I used the largest can motor I could but left no room for a flywheel. This is the 704 warhorse Hudson.

Whatever works, that's a good solution to get the larger motor.
