I've just posted on the SMR website (www.smrtrains.com) some early snapshots of SMR's newest prototype model.  This is the 1849 NY & Harlem engine "Amenia".  This engine is a fairly close sister to the famous "Yonah" of the Great Locomotive Chase.  SMR is producing both engines as its next project.

While there are some notable differences between the "Yonah" and the "Amenia", this will give you the general idea of that engine's appearance.

Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary sample and as such there will be a number of corrections and adjustments to the design.

Like all SMR products, the locos will be limited-edition, serial-numbered brass, fully decorated and available in both 2- and 3-rail configurations.   I expect delivery of the finished models about the end of the year.

There is also a new drawing from the upcoming early arch-roof passenger car project, which will be the next item completed after the "Yonah" and "Amenia".

Regards,

Dave
