Atlas 89' Flat Conversion to TPDX Flat with some JLTV 2-Door vehicles (Military Load)

Looks good Mike!  I just finished a 2R conversion of an Atlas 89' flat tonight using Kadee 753 trucks and 746 couplers.  My loads will be 45' trailers 'cause around here it's still 1980.

Nice! This is super cool! JLTVs have been made right here in my hometown of Oshkosh, WI and the railyard where they load I pass frequently. I might have to copy your idea some day!

I bought some chains years ago and they are just laying around. I have some tank loads just sitting loose. I need to get some chain ratchet binders and get to it!

I'm just lazy now.

Sword has some nice tie downs also looking at some ho versions.. would be curious what others are using?

Made a little progress today as I found some colored marker pens that I can use for the lights on the vehicles.   I also started another flat which started life as a DRGW flat missing trucks and couplers.  I removed the letterings and have started applying new decals.   Not sure yet if I will remove the guard rails on the 2nd flat or not.

The JLTV's are 3d printed from Circus City Decals and require assembly, painting, etc... While the decals for the flats are a combination of Microscale sets and Circus City Decals.

These are 3D printed from Circus City Decals.  While Matt has not listed them yet for O Scale, check out his HO listings.  The 2 door was his first vehicle we scaled up to O Scale.

Tim, I am using a stock of Microscale TTX sets I have, plus a set from Matt @Circus City Decals which he scaled up for O Scale.  Check out set 87-01 which is the basis for the O Scale set

Joe, best I can find are the sets from ebay but looking at them I don't think the longer ones will work all that well.   May end up making my own with hooks and chain or using a smaller scale off the shelf product.
