Any new model train ideas for the New Year, 2016, for your layout and/or train collection?

A simple project, I'll be re-configuring the entire Holiday Parade in the village area, at least...IMG_0498cpdIMG_1091_edited-2IMG_0211_edited-1IMG_9460ogr

Santa and his gang will be out, and I think I'll have the President come to town.

Oh, Moon Township is a busy place, all right, and now that you mention it, those village folk are probably all on their way, after the Holiday Parade, into NYC for New Year's Eve @ Times square. Now, that's a busy place. But I guess it's all relative, huh.IMG_9450

I found a K-Line Diner and a Pullman at York in October. CJB Custom Painting & Designs had painted RMT streamliners to match my 2348 Minneapolis & St. Louis GP9. Both K-Line cars were painted to match them. Here is the whole consist at the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society Museum in Hamburg, PA (www.readingrailroad.org)M&StLSetatRCT&HSMu 006

Window silhouettes in the K-Line cars (blue and silver boxes) had seen better days. CJB Custom Painting & Designs drew and installed new onesM&StL CarsPulDiner 001

Besides Santa and his gang, all the Christmastime parade floats and...IMG_1481exIMG_8677IMG_8681IMG_9462photo 5 Christmas decorations throughout the layout will be removed, too...

Moonson and SIRT, I enjoy seeing the stuff that both of  you post.  Awesome details!

Good stuff everyone!

Thank you, Johnny. That's a really nice thing to say; it's especially nice to be included in the same sentence as SIRT, whose work I celebrate as do so many members of this forum. Have you ever seen his winter diorama scenes, crafted alongside a curve in the track? Man, you can feel the chill and the quiet.

Thanks again. He and I appear to have different approaches, but variety can add a lot of spice to interpreting a layout. Who would want everything the same!
