New York Central caboose painted in the "Pacemaker" scheme???
Various O scale manufacturers have produced caboose models using the "Pacemaker" paint scheme. I am looking for prototype photos of any such NYC caboose paint schemes if they exist.

Did the New York Central ever even have bay window style cabooses?
Rusty Traque is correct on both accounts.
A couple of years ago, when I saw the 'Pacemaker' color paint scheme, I started to research the N.Y.C.S. and its' rolling stock equipment.
The cabooses that Rusty show are what was put out by the N.Y.C.S.
Unfortunately, though beautiful, the large bay windowed Pacemaker cab is a fantasy!!!!
By the way, the low cupola was used for the low tunnel clearances in the New York City, N.Y.S. area.

Thanks guys. That answers my question about NYC bay window style cabooses. Apparently the NYC had NO bay window style cabooses in the steam era?

At the tail end. (sorry) The NYC bay windows were first built in 1948, so I would imagine steam and b/w's in combo would be pretty rare.
But...
Green Frog's New York Central Oddysey has a clip of a Mikado powered work train with bay window caboose.

I'd like to find a 'Pacemaker' low cupola cab in 1:48 scale size, well detailed and marked like the prototype, either in plastic, brass and/or wood.
Hardly any large model train manufacture makes one, that I know of.
I saw a caboose in 'Pacemaker' paint, but it had a regular high cupola and a few mis markings.
I have a few 'Pacemaker' box cars made by Atlas 'O' and Lionel, but no caboose.
If, anyone knows of a 1:48 scale size 'Pacemaker' caboose, as the prototype, I would appreciate the heads up.
Thank you,
Ralph

For a CORRECT NYC "Pacemaker" caboose, I suggest you contact Malcolm "Brother Love" (he has an eMail contact in his OGR profile). I'm pretty sure that he scratch built quite a number of those NYC "Pacemaker" cabooses for some of the NYC modelers out east, within the last two years.
Thank you Hot Water! This is one of the first I built for a member of this forum.
Malcolm
That is EXACTLY the caboose I remember. Thanks for responding, Malcolm.
By the way, do you have that caboose, or any more like it, still available?
Thank you Hot Water,
I will contact Brother Love, regarding the NYCS Pacemaker Cab.
Ralph
Brother Love besides your other creations, your NYCS Pacemaker Caboose is amazing!!!!
You have good eyes for detail and hands of gold.
Happy New Year,
Ralph
I think I prefer the look of Malcolm's scratch built model, as it looks a LOT more like the prototype.
Ted thank you,
I didn't know that MTH made such a caboose, but it has slatted wood sides, unlike what Brother Love models, as having smooth wood sides, as what the prototype had!!!!!
I still would like a Brother Love Creation, which is Realistic!
I would like a NYCS Pacemaker caboose made like the one in Malcolm's previously posted photo. and it has the white markings, as the prototype had.

Brother Love,
I sent you an E.-Mail from your personal info. with O Gauge Railroading Forum, regarding that I would like to purchase a 3-Rail, 1:48 scale sized NYCS Pacemaker caboose, the same as in your previous posted photo. on this topic, on this forum.
Have you received it, or not?
If not, please if you would, post your E.-Mail address here.
My E.-Mail address is not listed in my personal info. of this forum, but you may obtain it from this forum's administrator.
Thank you.

Just my opinion, but I do NOT believe that the Forum Administrator is ALLOWED to give ANYONE's eMail address to ANYONE ELSE!!!
Hot Water, I believe you are correct, my error.
Malcolm answered my E.-Mail anyway.
I hope a scale model of the NYCS Pacemaker cab. is a go.
Ralph
Hey fellas,
I'm on the road tonight and will answer emails tomorrow morning. Thanks, malcolm
Malcom, where did you find dimensions for this Pacemaker caboose? Its apparent from the prototype photos that this is not a 19000 series wood caboose repainted but a different class altogether. Its longer, has a welded steel body, and different frame and trucks.
Pete
Hi Pete,
This, is the info. which is on the Inter.-Net, that I go by, you have to search around this site, for answers:

Malcolm,
That cab is beautiful, as is.
Even the bottom edge of the end sill is CURVED, as the prototype!

Additional pictures and information can be found in the book,"Cabooses of the New Haven and New York Central Railroads", published by N.J. International.
lightningstripe,
Thank you for the info. on the book, which I do not have.
I will find out where to buy a book.
Ralph
Thank you again, lightingstripe.
One book is on order and en-route.
Ralph
Malcolm,
I would be interested in one of those (P&LE New York Central System) if you are doing a 'batch'

Was the PACEMAKER freight to the NYC what the OVERNIGHT was to the SP?
Yes Dom,
This will explain some of the NYCS LCL Pacemaker Freight Service:
