The titled says it all. I would like to see the new lionel legacy heavy Mikado Nickel Plate version. This is a model I would consider in the future, so I would like to see some pictures if anyone has any. I have seen the C&O and Central versions so I have an idea of what to expect.

I opened the thread expecting to see pictures. Perhaps you can edit the title of the thread asking for pictures.
It's not out yet. December I think.
Sam,
Look at the catalog, it has a picture. From what I hear the first round of heavy Mikes were great. With BTO in place you may have trouble securing one. If I were you I would start calling some of Lionel's bigger dealers to see if they ordered any extras. Good luck

I have the GN from the first run - an outstanding locomotive! I would not hesitate to pull the trigger again if there was one I had to have.
When I said that I was considering one, I meant for the long term future, say 10 years from now.

I agree! Very misleading thread title.
10 years from now these will be near impossible to find for any price. That and whatever is new in 10 years will be better.

Here's a link to a posting I did a while back with photos I took of the one at Miller Park in Bloomington, IL. I live in Normal...it's just a few minutes south of me next to the zoo. Although I don't know enough about mikado's to tell if it's heavy or Light without doing more research.....and you're probably looking for photos of the Lionel O scale version...not the real thing. But hey....here's some of the real one anyway.....
