Sorry if this has already been posted, I searched but didn't find it: I saw this engine on a NY-bound train at Elizabeth today. The paint was well-worn but still good-looking. Personally, I would have tried to line up the nose and side striping better. Please note, I didn't take this photo, it's from the referenced news article. I saw the engine passing overhead today but didn't get a chance to take a pic.

Funny that using NJT as much as I do, this is the first time I have seen this loco's repaint "in the flesh" even though it was done three years ago.

It is a cool catch, though. I'm sometimes in Linden and I've never seen it.

The paint work is actually “wraps” that are applied in large sections. They go right over the original paint scheme.
They “wrapped” an ALP45 in EL colors, as well as a CNJ GP40PH-2 that was actually painted blue, with CNJ markings.
There is also the fleet of engines adorned with patriotic/military themed markings. And of course, the ALP46 in LGBTQ colors…

My wife and I took NJT from Trenton to NY Penn Station a couple weeks ago and that 5-stripe Pennsy scheme engine pulled our train.
