Interesting, I'll be on the lookout for these cars in Glen Rock. Thanks for posting.
Inside word is for now they will stay as a trainset on the RVL.
Very cool that NJT is promoting its heritage. Wonder if we'll see some more heritage paint appearing on locomotives maybe?
Has Amtrak considered bilevel coaches for NEC service?
For some reason, they do look like the PRR Keystone set of low floor cars.

Except the Keystone cars were low riders:

They probably looked at them, but the problem with multilevels is that in order to fit the NEC clearance envelope (loading gauge), max height 14'6" I believe, there is little room for overhead luggage racks on the upper level, and no room on the lower.

Interesting, though they should have mentioned the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western as well. Good thing NJ transit has something to celebrate in an otherwise dark time for them.
Sorry, but they look horrible to me. In fact, almost all "heritage" scheme do.
But there seems to me there is a lot of easted room from the trucks to the couplers. OK, understand if there is a control cab. And four doors on each side? A pair for low and high leve platforms?
