I rode in the Scenic View dome car. What a great trip. Met lots of good folks. Not so easy to get good pics from inside a moving car. Probably the only disappointment was that due to crowd control issues (NS apparently was concerned about folks on trackside taking pics as trains moved by) there were no run by of even crawl by opportunities. But still a fantastic day.
So here's what I was able to get.

The Museum at Altoona Pa....It's very rough but at least they got it inside at last.

Was the GG1 moved in there between Sunday and Monday? I was in there on Sunday, and I swear that GG1 was not there. Am I losing it, or was it elsewhere?

Don't know but if you looked in quickly all you could see was the passenger car in there. The GG-1 was hidden behind it. Hope they'll do something to at least stabilize it. It's rusted through in spots. They also say the K-4 should be in the new roundhouse some time this year.

Video coming soon. I had to catch up on sleep. Got up at 5:00am on Monday to make sure we had good seat and didn't get home until 11:00pm. We arrived about 1:30 late back into Lewistown. Crawled most of the may back from HSC behind a freight apparently.
Here's the video I promised. I finally found some time to do a little editing.
Video of our 5/27/13 ride on the Horseshoe Curve Special behind the NKP 765. We rode in the Scenic View full length Vista Dome car. The video shows the train pulling into Lewistown Station, riding to HSC, through and back in HSC, a special treat in the Altoona yards and the 765 pulling out of Lewistown after the excursion.
