No Marker Lights on MTH K -4 Steamer

Brand new out of box MTH PRR K-4, 4-6-2, 20-3469-1, steam locomotive with PS 3.0. Everything seems to work but no marker lights. Feature and Factory reset have been done many times but no marker lights. Checked tether and wiring, all seems to be OK, no visible pinches or broken connections. I have sent problem /issue and left message @ MTH but have not heard back yet. Anyone had any issues themselves with this locomotive. I heard somewhere there was a service bulletin on the new PS 3.0 steam locomotives but cannot seem to find anything on MTH site. Any suggestions would be helpful. Al B

Is there a soft key for "LMK" with DCS? If so try it to turn the markers on. Some engines have markers off as a default. Otherwise should go back for warranty. No service bulletin on this issue. If you have a harness with a 150 ohm current limiting resistor you can test the markers with a battery to see if they light. LED are polarity sensitive. Does this have tender markers also or just engine markers? Which are out? G

I will check for LMK. There are only marker lights on front of locomotive.

Al, the resets should have covered the problem. Open the loco up and unplug your markers (yellow plug) and plug in a known good set to confirm what is going on. I have recently seen this a few times and it was a bad LED.

Marty, There are a few sound files I loaded that the default for markers was off. That is why I recommended trying to turn them on. George
