I have tested and figured out how to wire both Ross 4-way and crossovers. However, I have two questions on both Ross products. 1. (see photo 1.) If a train is passing through via the green line and the switch machine (yellow) is set in the red arrow direction, how do I make the switch machine (yellow arrow) set to non-derailing for the green line to pass through? The short 3" tracks on the left are the non-derailing points for the other 2 switch machines and work fine. The green line is actual a main line on my layout.
2. This next question is a little more cut and dry. With the switch machines set in the direction by the red arrow, can I make the train traveling in the green arrow direction throw the switches to create a non derailing function? And then replicate that for all 4 points? How? Would that make the train going through the switch in the red arrow direction derail when it hits the control rail if I had one? Thanks to anyone that can help me here.
