I had to post. So the NEWS has got me excited that a quality Norfolk Southern Heritage model is at the top of the list for Midwestern Model Works. I have been wanting these for some time now and finally someone has announced them as a go. I am going to try and get all 21 units as them are going to be spread out over time. Matt: are with me or anyone else!?

Alan, I expect if you contacted Erik via the email link on the MMW website contact page, he'd arrange to have a call with you at a mutually convenient time. I find some of the niche manufacturers for whom our models may not be their "full time job" operate like this. Imho doesn't seem to hinder them too much having email as a first point of contact these days.

I too have been waiting for these. Great to hear. I am with you George, I also will try to get all 21 models.

Brass is Class!

Sort of confusing, as Norfolk Southern does NOT have "21 Heritage" versions of SD40, SD45, SD40-2, nor SD45-2 locomotives. The "21 Heritage" units on NS are all newer EMD and GE units, that bare absolutely NO RESEMBLANCE to the O-Scale models that Midwest Model Works is offering.

Yes, not everyone wants their phone number pasted up on the internet for the world to call.

There is indeed an e-mail address available..........

Just how many distinctly different engine classes does that 21 encompass?

Well I guess you are....

** The NS Heritage units will be produced over a number of years so that they may be affordable for those who would like to have them all. The number NS 1030, which is seen on the turntable in the famous roundhouse photo below, will also be made available for a total of 21 units.

The NS Heritage units are GE’s ES44AC and EMD’s SD70Ace type locomotives. These locomotives were also produced for other railroads and will be made available during the course of the releases of NS Heritage models. Email for further details and information or to express interest in this project.

Engineer Joe,

You are correct.  These are the 2 beautiful NS Heritage locomotives.  The SD70 ACe and ES44AC.  There is also one more locomotive in NS black which makes 21 with a special number, which I cannot remember at the moment.  Stephen, I'm very glad that you're interested also.  Erik is making the finest models.
