I’m in need of a few parts that the Lionel website lists as only available from North Lima Trainworks. I emailed them with a question a week ago - and followed up with another email several days later - and have yet to receive a response. So, today I called, and the outgoing message states that due to the high volume of holiday business, they can’t accept phone messages. They hope to be back on top of things by the first of the year. Well, does June 11 qualify? Does anybody know what’s going on here? Not wanting to start a bashing thread, but this sure doesn’t seem like a good way to do business.

Go to NLT click on search, in the SKU box type in part number for the part you are looking for. If they have it, add it to cart. Thats all I can help you with.

49Lionel,
I purchased some parts a couple of weeks ago. They have been slow as molasses getting the new web site up and the confusion lies, I believe, in the old link still being around. The email listed is a gmail account which is probably never accessed.
nltrainworks.com is a dead end. nltrainworksinc.com is the new site, but you still have to input the correct Lionel part number using the search function. The old, original site was really nice in that you could browse through all the parts they actually had in stock. They had pictures also. I picked up some stuff for scratch building this way.
Yes, of course I’ve looked at their website. I have a question about a part that is not answered by the photo or description alone, and I'd rather not purchase it only to find out it's not what I needed. Customer service, anyone?
What are you needing?

Two things: first, the flanged drive wheels from the Lionel scale PRR turbine - SKU is 6108010020 on their website, but it's not clear if there are traction tire and plain versions. Ideally, I'd want two of both, but could live with four tired ones. Also, the side rod screws for these drivers are SKU 6108006917 on the Lionel website, but aren't on the NL Lima website. I'd like to know if they have them, so I don't have to pay a bunch of shipping from Lionel on four $.50 parts!
Chuck - as long as I have you - do you do wheel pulling/mounting and quartering?
To read this blurb, you'd think they'd be waiting by the phone or email to respond. I guess they haven't got caught up with the website yet.
I had no luck emailing them but when I called I got a prompt return call. Not justifying the lack of responsiveness on email -- if they have an email address they should check their email as a matter of courtesy.
Do these folks have a storefront and if so do they sell trains or just parts?
Pete
Chris, (I think that is your name?) I have the side rod screws if you need them. If you can get the drivers, I can install them.

Take Chuck upon his kind offer, he helped me out recently searching out obscure light bulbs.

Absolutely, I'll get in touch with Chuck - much appreciated!

Hi David,
I sent you a email, there may be more involved than what appears a straight forward wheel swap.
Thanks, Chuck
