Well, not at the present time.  But when I was a kid (1949-1952), my family lived in Bloomsburg while Dad was a student (GI Bill) at the University.

I loved the trains that used to pass through.  I realize now that they were DL&W and Reading, but at the time, they were just nameless trains that I liked to watch (gimme a break, I was only three).

We never lived in Berwick, but Mom and Dad had friends who did, and we'd visit them from time to time.  I was greatly impressed by the ACF plant -- I'd never seen locomotives in the streets before!

I get back there once in a while, to visit my aunt and uncle, or to attend a gun or antique show at the Fairgrounds.  Haven't been there for a couple of years, though.

Mike, I am not familiar with the little train/ accounting shop in Bloomsburg. Any info as location or phone number appreciated.

Gryzboski Trains is my go to hobby shop. Most of my purchase are made there but I do like to buy from and visit the others.

Bloomsburg is a great little town for restaurants. We really enjoy the sidewalk seating during the summer. I would love to find that train shop to check out in Bloom and grab a nice meal. Great college town.

Not currently in the area (living in Irving {Dallas, TX) but will be

in the Scranton area within 2 years (retiring). Will be following

the Bloomsburg football team EVERY weekend, so we will be

spending lots of time in the area once retired. Look forward to all

the LHS in NE PA  and all the fun places to visit and see. (wife

is from Scranton with LOTS of friends and family members).

There is a train store in Danville, in the shopping district, the other half of the store is a fancy glass store featuring Fenton glass. Call ahead to see if he is open. Barry's Train shop in Elizabethtown is one of the best outside of the Philadelphia area. Fryer's Store in Orwigsburg is still open, but due to a death in the family the store is for sale, he still has some inventory and can order things.

The store in Danville is run by a fella in the area's train club. Very helpful, and if your a club member the meeting is held at his shop after hours in December every year and he has offered big discounts to those who attend. This is where I'm finding myself going more and more now. The shop in Bloomsburg is very small and not tons on hand but will order in anything you want that he doesn't stock.

Luke do you know if the train shop in Myerstown is still there and open?
