Good evening everyone,

While I wait for my Legacy E8s to be returned to me following either a warranty repair or an outright exchange (they shipped today and the dealer isn't saying which), I have been pondering something:  The nose contour on these locomotives differs from that of my former K-Line E8s (which looked OK to me.)  They can't both be correct.  Sorry, I don't have images because the K-Line units were dead with a bad board and I sold them on an auction site.

From the side both the Lionel and the K-Line looked the same to me.  It's when I looked at them from an elevated front view that the slope of the Lionel nose seemed more severe.  I'm just wondering which is more accurate, for academic reasons.

I'm not picking nits; I'm itching to have my Legacy E8s back because in the few minutes I was able to run them, I was very pleased with them, especially the sounds - leagues better than what I had.

Thanks for any input.
