I wonder if we'll see them leverage the tooling for other passenger trains.  I'm not a stickler for road-specific details in the slightest bit, so I'd be more than happy to see Atlas-O offer a GN Empire Builder train based on these cars.  I would build an 8- or 12-car train painted in GN colors in a NY minute if it was offered.  It would need to be offered as a complete set all at once though.  I'm done with partial passenger trains over time.

Anybody else???

The "Canadian".

I would rather see them move on to another train with newly tooled prototypically correct cars. I know the Super Chief has been discussed as a possibility. I think it would be a home run. Also, before some hotrod chimes in, I am well aware they GGD has done the Super Chief in the past but I believe there would still be sufficient demand for  an Atlas Super Chief.

I think the main attraction to the Atlas passenger cars is the fact that they are prototypically correct. If you are interested in generic scale length passenger cars then many of Lionel's new offerings will fit the bill. Yes, I realize that some of Lionel's new offerings are attempting to be prototypically correct but many are just generic.

Atlas should also be commended on the very reasonable price they have placed on the full CZ set just announced.
