Does anyone have the MTH or Lionel NS Heritage SD 70ACe models yet? How do you like them? Pluses/minuses? No bashing, just the facts.

Lionel's are not due till November and the few that MTH has done seem to be very nice from what I saw. Some of the details are wrong but you have to decide if that is ok. Others will chime in on how they perform.
They are a little shorter than the premier versions .
The units run great and sound great.
Here's a video I made earlier in the month...

Nice video, Bob Taylor. I'm a born and bred Lionel guy but have some MTH due to their smoke units' output. I do SO love MTH smoke output!
Potrzbe,
if I am not mistaken you only have o31 and if that is the case then the MTH RK version would be best for you. They look and run great from what I have seen and heard. Good luck on your choice.
Yes, I am only running O31 at present but was looking at the Lionel non powered for a shelf queen perhaps. It is offerings like these that make me wonder why I didn't go with a larger radius to begin with. It will probably be a RK Lackawanna and Lionel PRR in my future.
Have the new MTH Railking PS-3, SD-70 ACe in Reading Lines of the Norfolk Southern heritage. Runs good in conventional, but takes a couple seconds to change direction, using a post war ZW. The horn sounds good and has a volume adjustment to it. You take off what looks like the dynamic brake cover and it has two switches inside; one for volume and one for DCS & DCC.
I want to put some Reading & Northern quad hoppers behind and some Reading Beer tankers, maybe this coming week.
