Read on the internet that NS towed the two Mannawana engines, 4001 & 1036, to the Juniata shops. They hosed them off but the GE still looks pretty beat up. I guess the word is they will be repaired. They moved on their own trucks without spacer cars.

The NS' 4000-series GEs seem to be cursed...
Here's a NS "cookout" set out...

I probably was snoozing when prior discussions occurred, but the blue and silver locomotive, is that scheme a new NS scheme, or a one off? How many NS locomotives are decorated in that fashion?
There are two with the blue nose (liked the wrecked one, 4000, 4001) two with a black nose and a red mane stripe (4002, 4003) , and two with a black nose and a blue mane stripe (4004, 4005). The rest are painted standard NS horsehead scheme. Let me just add that when I say the rest, I am talking about the AC44C6M DC to AC standard cab to wide cab conversions of which there 24 done and more being converted.
thank you Diesel Bob. the blue nose unit looks like it was very pretty, prior to the "unpleasantness" !
These are DC to AC conversions.

I think it will buff out.........................
Don't know if I would have rather been in 4001 or 4008, probably neither, but both look equally freakish.
Tex..........quite funny !!
Spicoli could fix it with his Dad's tools!
