Skip thanks for sharing.  It's been many years since I went to The Botanical Gardens.  Growing up a very short distance away it will always be the only Botanical Gardens.  We did take the kids to see the Holiday trains a few times.  Always amazes me how the build all of that out of natural, organic materials, although I did see some cable under one of the bridges.  Was it all in the big greenhouse.  The last time we went there were displays in several of the buildings.  It's great they had little signs.  While many of the iconic structures were immediately recognizable many were unknown to me at a glance.

Thanks, Skip. It's been over two years since we've been back to the borough of my boith (except for a Yankee game in June, which was to keep my 65-year run of never missing a game). I'm working on my family to get to the Bronx Botanical Gardens and dinner on Arthur Ave. I'll use your post to 'remind' them.

Lunch was at Mario's!!!
