Glad to see that the car will be preserved. I recently went to the New York subway museum in Brooklyn which is a great place to go
That date is certainly one that MUST be remembered for future generations to reflect on, and no one can do it "some day". The action to save these important artifacts must be done today. I'm glad that the Connecticut Trolley Museum has stepped up to the plate on this issue, and covered the expense and the future plan for this car.

745's wheels wouldn't move at first, but some insistent tugging by the R17 freed them up by the time the PA-3 was completely off the trailer (it was placed on the trailer at JFK using cranes). After that it rolled very freely. Even its hubdometer was still functioning despite the underbody components being immersed in floodwaters (from firefighting efforts) up to a few inches from the floor.
Trivia: 6688 played a role in the recent Spider-Man movie.
