The 4 units that were the entire  DCA-1a 3500 class as well as the 2 unit DCB-1a 3600 class F3Bs were delivered in July 1947 in Passenger 2 tone grey in the older version that did not extend the full length of the unit. The B units were originally all dark grey. Later these all got full Lightening stripes in the passenger 2 tone grey.

 

The  Original 3 unit order was 3500-3600-3501 and 3502-3601-3503. Unlike  the Lionel model they did not have dynamic brake grids and blowers on the roof but used that space for larger overhead boiler water tanks. They were considered dual use and finally converted to frieght only between Dec 1958 and Feb 1961 losing the water tanks and being re numbered in the process. 1874,1875,(3502 was sold to EMD and not renumbered), 1877 and the Bs became 2475 and 2476.
