Peter,

Thanks for bringing this up! The O&W Historical Society has made quite a bit of progress, but still has a way to go.

Allow me to add a bit to your thunder. The following are some pictures I took during Steamtown's RailFest 2018. I presume progress has been made since then.

NYO&W 105 3

These are the aux oil tanks mentioned in the article that are leaking and need to be reconstructed.

NYO&W 105 6

One of the hoods sitting on an adjacent flat car. Perhaps someone can tell us what the device is next to it. I do not know.

NYO&W 105 7

Close up of the device.

NYO&W 105 8

A view inside the hood.

NYO&W 105 RFW 2108

A final shot. More work to be done before reassembly.

Patrick is a valuable asset for this project. He is probably one of the most valuable assets for a 44 ton repairs. Pat sent me the electrical's for 105 and we digitized the schematic for the use on 105. The drawing is from 1940 and was very frail. Now he can just look at it on his I Pad.

I hope they have good luck with the Cat's. we would repair ours on PRR 9331 only to have something else break.

My engine GN 51, I believe is a little older than this unit.

I hope they keep posting updates.

Peter are you involved in the restoration?

It's always nice to hear about something being restored.  In Oaks, Pa., these little beast have been sitting outside some industrial buildings for quite a few years.  Each time I attend the Greenberg show there, I stop and pay them a visit.  They're in pretty sad condition and only getting worse.
