Just noticed I have section of two curve tracks that are not snug together.  I tried manually to press them together but there is still a gap.  I am afraid it is going to eat up my traction tires.

Is there a technique to tap the track sections together without warping the track and the ties?

Thanks

George-

You can tap the opposite end of the rail with a small hammer to help close the gap, but the pin will have to be removed first. Too many hard blows will disort the end of the rail, but you can effect repairs with needlenose pliers. Needlenose pliers or a hammer with nail punch are also useful for repairing any loose track crimps.
