O ALTOONA 36 LAGER LTD BILLBOARD MTH30-90481

I'm thinking of adding one or two of this type sign. These are the ones with the three lamps that overhang the billboard. It says they can be mounted. Does anyone know if the angled back supports can be removed without cutting them? I don't have the 5 1/2 inches to use the whole thing.
