On the Steve Harvey show, on his birthday, his staff at the show built him a reproduction of a Lionel dealer layout complete with a steam set and a 229 conventional classic set, with scenery. He was genuinely touched by the presentation. Nice to see trains on Prime time.

Sheldon Cooper definitely said it's "O gauge or no gauge." In his bedroom, you can see some MTH trains on his shelf.

In the original movie "The Day the Earth stood still" the young boy was playing with O gauge trains (Lionel) on a layout he could slide under his bed....

Interesting how the props department had trouble with the track geometry as they used K-Line switches with 30º curve arcs with regular 45º O-31 track pieces.
