Does anyone know of a supplier of O-gauge train display cases for fireplace mantels? I see them on e-bay but they're pretty generic. I am thinking the PE Berkshire would look pretty neat on my fireplace mantel, when it's not being run - probably would need to be 30" long. I thought about making my own but I kind of doubt it would turn out any good, am lucky if I can put together an O-gauge building without getting glue all over the place.

Take a look at one of our newest forum sponsors--Classy Woods LLC. Their web site shows a variety of display cases for O.

Dash/Trainz has had some Lionel cases on their auction site in the past few weeks. I don't know if there are any right now, though.
Paul,
One of our new forum sponsors, Classy Woods, LLC might fulfill your desires. My last mantel case was for Standard Gauge, 5"X 8"X 60". My maker has long since retired. I'm hoping, Classy Woods, LLC can help me also.
God Bless,

I buy from this guy: Show Case Products LLC.
Have quite a few cases from Dave's Cases (Red Hall - York).
For the money they are a great value, Oak base and all glass.
The past few Yorks, I've picked them up there but they will also ship them.

Is there a link to Dave's Cases?
Contact info for Dave's Cases can be found in an older forum thread, not sure if they have a website.
Thanks for the tips.
I just found another one, Tam Industries, that look really nice. I especially like the wooden frame around the plexiglass. Downside is they have to be assembled.
I like the oak frame. His shop is very close to my house in California. I will have to visit it. I assume it comes disassembled to reduce shipping costs. The one I referenced comes with an oak base and acrylic shell.
woodenboxco.50megs can make anything in any type of wood you desire. this guy has hands of gold
Guys....
I removed the active links to the references you suggested above since we promise our paying advertisers that they get that benefit over non-paying folks. Never the less, please note that I left the names of the others so your shared information still can be used by anyone interested with just a little bit of effort on their part. Thanks for your understanding...
