Who is O line productions? Is it RMT with a different name?
Replies sorted oldest to newest
Yup it is RMT product rebranded. Be smart and don't ask too many questions or the post will get deleted...Soylent Green.
If you want RMT stuff, buy it from RMT to get a full manufacturers warranty. Several have tried to get answers as to a warranty on O Line Repro without much luck.
Beware who you buy from... A bright and shiney website does not mean you will be treated well.

This is not a matter of conjecture or rumor but finally OGR Fumites are given a factual answer from a trusted forum sponsor who's selling this line of products. (see this link https://ogrforum.com/t...80#46059622133621680)After careful examination of the paperwork which accompanies these products Kennjr. has stated there is NO warranty, but being the outstanding forum sponsor and business person he is, he and TrainWorld / TrainLand will personally warranty this line of merchandise for thirty days. Looking forward to all other sellers of this product to state what recourse they offer their buyers of O-Line Reproductions if the product should arrive not only DOA but fail during the time they own it.

Doesn't mean you'll be treated poorly either. Some of the businesses who are promoting the "repros" have impeccable reputations.

You! Again! You've been a member here a little more than a month and you've managed to stir up more hard feelings than I've ever seen. Your post keep getting deleted because you keep trolling the RMT and O Line threads just to flame people.
I personally wouldn't delete your post. I'd delete your account and block your IP for future account's.
Now wipe the tears, suck up the snot and play nice from here on.

Thanks OGG. I did see that post by Ken at TrainWorld and thought is was rather upstanding of him. Thats the kind of stuff that gets my business when its there to give.

I just wanted to find out something and now people get angry with each other. I just seen items on trainworld and thought I would just ask a simple question. Sorry it stured up some junk between members. Joe
Easy does it there, RR. Suggest you take your own advice and play nice.

I am not flaming anyone or any business. I pointed out my very factual buying experience with an OLR reseller. I provided factual and accurate copies of emails from said forum sponsor.
You are correct, I do have hard feelings over the matter. The difference is, I am not afraid to air them come what may. You may find a businesses bad behavior acceptable, I don't and won't period.
Furthermore, I did not start any of the threads nor was I the first to question what was going on.
I think you better read the rest of my posts on other topics before you're too quick to judge.
Time of membership has little to do with this or any conversation.

Absolutely agree with you Pete. I should have expanded upon that. My mistake.

Shurlock, No need for apologies. These RMT - O Line threads have been a hot mess for several days now. I'm just tired of RMT, forum sponsors and other members getting a bad rap on these threads. This is not the place to oust a manufacturer or retailer and this morning when I saw it starting up again I decided I'd had enough of someone taking a dump on this forum.

No need for apologies... I get a little hot over this very touchy topic myself.
Upside - take note that Ken at TrainWorld just upped the warranty period (another thread here) on the OLR stock to 6 months! Thats pretty cool.

They are RMT, for sure. I have a set of NS passenger cars bought from RMT last year at this time, and a set of the same as O Line Reproductions I just received. The cars are absolutely identical except that the words "RMT/ARISTO-CRAFT IRVINGTON, NJ USA" have been removed from the mold; therefore do not appear underneath the cars.
And some K-Line Products
I looked at the o-line offerings on an ogr sponsor website. Where in the heck did those MSRP's come from? They are substantially higher than even Lionel would list for comparable items.
I'm still "anchored" to those prices a few years ago when this stuff could be had new at 2 ore-cars for 20 bucks, etc. The current sale prices still seem high to me.

As are we all. Forget about $10/car pricing. That was likely a one-deal blow-out that Walter did a couple of New Years ago. Hadn't seen prices that low since I paid $6-$8 for Lionel boxcars in the mid- to late-1960's.
When Pat advertised this new O-Line Productions product line, I sent him an email and ordered a bunch of the Cancer Awareness boxcars for $22-$23/each. They arrived a few days later. That was a good deal to me with superb customer service. As for the MSRP's... those have become meaningless numbers for every importer nowadays. Pure fantasy, but they're being used to make ridiculous "savings" claims. Take them all with a grain of salt.
