Can anyone recommend the best spike laying pliers for hand laying of O-Scale 2-rail track and switches?

Is the Micro-Mark 3 piece set worth the $60?  I like the 2 pliers but usually use my Dremel with cut-off wheel instead of track cutters.  The pliers alone are $20.00 each.

Anyone else make a better set, as most available are for the smaller scales like HO?

Is there a larger dealer that might handle such an item?

Thanks...

I have always used a good needle nose pliers with serrated jaws.   If the ridges on the jaws wear away, you need a new pair.    I still have my original Craftsman pair and they still work.

I also use the dremel for the cutoff tool.   I tried a "rail-cutter" and it was too light for the O Scale code 148 rail I was  using.    The cutter just would not do it with my hands.

Same here; a couple of decent needle nose pliers works fine....

Cutoff tool - Dremel works for close fine stuff, but for most track laying work I just nip the nail close with these

and finish the end with the belt sander.  Same for switches to shape points and frogs....
