Everyone complains about the size of O scale couplers being to big. If a O scale coupler was scaled up to real life how big would it be? Anyone have any ideas?

About 2 feet wide and about 18 inches tall for a 3-rail coupler. About 15 inches wide and 12" tall for a Kadee.
Hard to believe that they are so close to each other, percentage wise. I would have guessed more than double.
Just measure the dimensions, the Kadee is over half as wide as the lobster claw.
Width of AAR Type E Knuckle is 14-17/64." So a Kadee 805 scaling to 15" is spot on.
I've converted about a dozen cars to Kadees, some easy and some a PITA. Doing the remaining 140 freight cars seems a daunting task, but when I buy new Lionel cars with faulty lobster claws, I'm more inclined to bite the bullet. The Kadees just work so much better.
