did lionel or williams ever make a csx f3 or f7 in the old blue and grey paint scheme without the yellow nose
because i'm pretty sure i saw a picture of one online

I am not aware of anyone making in o guage or o scale a CSX f unit. CSX did repaint ex clinchfield RR F7's. Used them on a roadrailers train too!

Yes CSX did repaint the Clinchfield F units.
MTH came out with a ABA set of F3's in Railking Scale a few years ago. They were painted in the CSX Gray and Blue with yellow noses the CSX was also yellow. A mataching set of passenger cars were also produced.
Maybe K-Line had all grey versions ?
The WbBN units can be found pretty cheap......and a very simple repaint....
I painted this WbB Dash9 in CSX........I even made the decals for it......the very rare CSX Chessie logo.

I've seen seen your Williams locos in other posts and I intend to do something very similar. Do you have any advice on making the decals. I'm doing CSX also, What paint did you use and what colors. I'm doing the current paint scheme. Yours do look good.

The gray is Dupli-color #1699 gray sealer. The other colors are Tamiya spray can blue and yellow. I make my decals but Microscale has some CSX decals still.
