I bought 2 Artista ones.  They are so small I don't even use them.  And 'yes', they are 'O' sized.  Most artista are undersized IMO.  As long as that's all that you use they look great.  But undersized, yes.

Your opinion isn’t factually supported. Every adult make Arttista (correct spelling) figure I have is at least 1.5 inches tall — that’s a 6-foot tall man in O scale (1:48). The female figures are just under 1.5 inches.

The children figures, which naturally vary in size, proportion nicely against the adult figures.

Arttista is a fine scale modeling company for 1:48. Anyone interested in accurate figures with some character can’t do better.

Compared to what certain other manufacturers produce I agree with you.  When calculated on a 1:48 scale though they are fairly accurate.  Plus remember that many Artista figures come without bases and even a 1/8 inch thick base adds the equivalent of six inches to the height of the figure.  Years ago I picked up a set of seated figures from some German manufacturer.  Both the men and women were on the tall side with the males having muscular builds.  Next to Artista figures they would probably have looked funny, but both were O scale.  With careful placement both worked on my layout.

If you need some kids in their early teens you might want to look at what is available in 28mm.  A 6' tall figure in 28mm scale would be about 5' tall in O scale, so a 28mm adult figure would probably have about the same height and built at someone maybe 11-14 years old in O scale.

If you need sitting children, Circus Craft (out of business) made sitting children figures.  I've found them at York (White Hall) and at relatively local shows, and can be found in 6 packs like this:

And also in unpainted packages of 100.  In fact, forum sponsor Trainz.com has a 100 pack of the unpainted figures on their site right now.  I bought a couple hundred that I plan on using to populate my empty Polar Express coaches once I get them painted.
