O scale model of an MOW 8-axle flatcar with "fishbelly" style underframe.

This is a scratchbuilt O scale 8-axle general purpose flatcar used for MOW operations. The car is 18 inches (72 scale feet) in length over coupler faces. The model has "articulated" truck bolsters which allow operation on smaller radius curves and turnouts. This same model can be converted for use as an 8-axle MOW gondola by installing a 52 foot gondola body.

Note: This flatcar is shown with a "fishbelly' style underframe.

Typical prototype MOW flatcars are also shown.
