O Scale Railroad Museum

Since I have a wide variety of steam and early diesel models that predate my modern CSX equipment I have created an O scale "Railroad" museum.  The equipment on display on my layout "module" will be vintage PRR and NYC steam engines, early vintage PRR and NYC diesels as well as retired M-of-W equipment, passenger cars and retired cabooses.  This is a very logical way to display these O scale models.  They can also be used for railfan excursions on my layout from time to time.

I have an MTH two stall engine house that will be used for my steam engine collection on display.

My diesel equipment displayed at the O scale museum include PRR F3s, F7s, PAs, Es, GG-1s, Train Masters.  NYC F3s, Es, GPs, NW-2s and Sharks. B&O FAs.

O Scale Railroad Museum and vintage CSX equipment on display.

I also have a separate CSX train museum which displays vintage cabooses and early retired diesels from B&O, C&O, Chessie and other Family Lines.

Note: The CSX Corporation was formed in 1980 for the purpose of completing the merger of the rail lines of the Seaboard Coast Line Industries and the Chessie System Inc.   The Chessie System was created in 1972 to operate the Baltimore &
Ohio RR (B&O RR) and the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway (C&O Rwy) among
other railroads.  In 1986 the name of the Seaboard System RR was changed to CSX
Transportation, the railroad subsidiary of the CSX Corporation.  Then, in 1987
the B&O RR was merged into the C&O Rwy and the combined railroads were
merged into CSX Transportation the same year.  The Richmond, Fredericksburg
& Potomac RR (RF&P RR) was acquired by CSX in 1991.
