I was going to say the same thing.  It's still in my car's glovebox, and I've had to move it to a new car since I got it!

Same here, except for the glovebox part. The envelope is still pinned to the wall with a magnet.

Sent out for my York bus fare ($150 now--half-capacity seating and more expensive restaurant afterwards) and have fingers crossed, hoping for the best..

I actually had to search for my April 2020 badge.  I knew I had it and thought I had it in a badge holder on my desk.  My desk had gotten piled high with trains and paperwork and I could not find it, when looking for it a few weeks ago.  I finally cleaned my desk off and found it, not in a badge holder, but on the desk under something.  It is now in a badge holder in my briefcase (as that always travels with me on overnight trips).

A very large non train purchase has wiped me out so no funds for York this year.  Have fun everyone and hope for next year.

Oh that stinks Gary. I had to get some car maintenance down, and it was costly. Only good thing is I'm not expecting to spend a lot at York, and I have some money set aside anyway. It would be better without the costly expense, but my car needed it done for performance. Otherwise I might be on the side of the road. See you when we do.

This purchase was by choice for the entire family to enjoy.  York had to go for this year and l but no worries, the family will enjoy it.

Has anyone received table holder badges yet?  I never received the table holder badges for the April 2020 before it was cancelled.  My son reserved two tables for this York and we were told they would be in the yellow hall but nothing has arrived as of yet.  Eastern division was kind enough to change my tables from the red hall to be next to my son on the yellow hall but I'm getting kind of nervous that they haven't arrived yet.

Our Badges from April 2020 are locked and loaded.

We have the flight booked (arriving at BWI Tuesday the 19th then driving to The Vortex of Fantasy!).

Hotels are booked (3 of them in 3 different cities).

The car rental is in place.

Daily schedules are filling in.

Suitcases are ready and waiting to be filled (I hope it won't be cold that week!)

I can taste the scrapple at Round The Clock Diner already! (and the Taylor pork roll).

Can't wait to walk the aisles of those colorful Halls!

Looking forward to seeing my UPS friends again.

We can't wait for a cheesesteak and chocolate milkshake at Latucca's! (Thanks Vince & TrainPop- we miss living in the area to take home a Stromboli on Saturday)

Not sure we'll be going to a Flyers game, 4 tickets would equal a Legacy engine!  But we will be seeing my daughter.

We're leaving on a jet plane for home Monday the 25th.

On Tuesday the 26th, Post York Syndrome sets in. (but it is soothed when UPS delivers my York goodies in a few days!)

FYI Here is some important information concerning guidelines for the Meet from the TCA Eastern Division.

October 2021 Guidelines for the York Train Meet

Something a bit more recent - https://www.easterntca.com/Sit...-Covid_protocols.pdf

Under "registration requirements":  1. If you pre-registered at the October 2019 Show and did not receive a refund you are already registered for the October 2021 Show.

I think it could have been more explicit about being able to use a badge from April 2020, but I guess we'll find out.  I'm sure that the security guards at the entrances will be courteous and accommodating.

In regard to York, I just saw this as part of an email blast from TCA:

"Pennsylvania COVID-19 restrictions will be in effect. Please wear a mask in all buildings. Many tables have been relocated; some even to new buildings. Some entrances will remain closed . . . ."

May cause me to rethink my participation in this event. As I noted earlier on this or another thread, I am not about to wear a mask all day long when I have been fully vaccinated.

And I just did a search for PA COVID Restrictions and found this:

"Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has lifted most COVID-19 restrictions. ... The restrictions do not apply to Philadelphia, which has its own COVID-19 mitigation measures. Municipalities and school districts, if they so choose, may continue to implement stricter restrictions.Sep 28, 2021"

Allan and all,

As President of TCA, please let me clarify today's eblast.  While I am in no way a spokesman for Eastern Division, just minutes ago I spoke to the York Meet Chairman and I confirm what I am about to write are the clear facts!  You do NOT (and I emphasis, NOT) have to wear a mask at the October 2021 York Meet.  At the October 2021 York Meet, masks are NOT mandatory.  Please refer to the Eastern Division website for more information:

https://easterntca.com/Site/do...-Covid_protocols.pdf

The Eastern Division website says "If you have any Covid concerns, please wear a face mask."  Only the 2nd half of that sentence was repeated in today's TCA National eblast; but it really needs to be taken with the first half of the sentence that says that applies if you have covid concerns.

As you can see, it is up to each individual person to make the choice that's right for them.  Everyone should practice self-responsibly.

I hope this clarifies things and look forward to seeing you there.

Stu
