bid but lost on this Marx 1935 mail car. The litho looked way off, which was why it appealed to me.
Soothed my bidding wounds by purchasing this Hafner red/brassy tender with recycled tin underneath.
I think it is advertising the Spike Jones Radio Show in NBC, which would have been 1949.
I have several Hafner pieces that used recycled tin.

interesting, I've seen a few skewed but not that much. I used to see baseball cars off center farther than that though lol

working in a litho plant for almost 20 years it boggles my mind on how those off register cars got out, toy or not.
Well, the fact remains that, regardless of the item being manufactured, even with 100% inspection manufacturing mistakes will still get out into the market...for instance
Just imagine all the guys on the 3 rail forum complaining about quality etc...should throw out one of those pictures in the next quality thread just for fun.
