I treasure my OGR Anniversary boxcars from the past - years 24 and 25. I'm wondering why we are not being offered a 50 year anniversary car. Inquiring minds wonder what Management is thinking...

It's an idea certainly worth considering (and we will discuss it), although the car would likely not be available until early next year given the lead time required for MTH or Lionel to handle the project. And, of course, we would need to know how many of the things we could actually sell, and that would probably require some prior commitment by potential buyers.
I fully understand lead times... did the 50th anniversary catch management by surprise? Yah, this was better discussed a year ago...
Here's a concept... Build to Order. Oh wait, it's routine today... LOL

Actually, the anniversary date did kind of catch us off guard. But at least we didn't miss it and the current issue is timed just about right to coincide with the start of the 50th year. As for extras such as cars, clothing items, etc., we're still doing our homework to see what might be worth the effort. Cars would indeed be pretty much "built to order" because that simply makes good business sense.
Sounds interesting!

Please consider Atlas so we can have a 2-rail version available.

Not meaning to overlook anyone who might be a possiblity for this or other commemorative items. We haven't even discussed the possible project yet, but did have some passing discussions about shirts, caps, and such. The anniversary kind of snuck up on us.
Or maybe some 50th Anniversary OGR polo shirts!
Did the years really go by that fast?
Reminds me of that song, "Don't Blink"
