O Gauge Railroading Forum Grandstand Meeting

On Friday, October 19th, 2012, OGR will hold its Forum Meeting at 2 PM in the Grandstand above the old Yellow Hall at the Train Collector's Association Eastern Division Meet on the Fairgrounds at York, Pennsylvania.

If you are attending the York Meet, this is your chance to hear industry representatives give you the highlights of the latest developments at their companies, “up-close-and personal”.

The OGR Forum Meeting is designed to give hobbyists the maximum amount of information in approximately one hour in the Grandstand. The idea here is to follow up with industry representatives at their booths after the Forum Meeting, if you want more details on a particular topic.

For those of you who can't attend the session, our talented and loyal, highly compensated, Official OGR Scribe, and honored Forum Historian, Steve Nelson, will have have a Forum Meeting report for you after the meeting.

The following companies have presentations scheduled at the Forum;

Atlas

Williams by Bachmann

Hybrid Systems Ltd.

Korber Models

Schneider Model Railroading

3rd Rail/Sunset Models

Miller Engineering

Weaver Models

TW Trainworx

NJ International

Ross Custom Switches

O Gauge Railroading Digital

Lionel

Thanks for the heads-up Ed. Even though I always enjoy the grand stand meets Steve's report is still great to read. It's amazing how much I can miss talking to folks.

As for Allan's introduction to John Holtman I can second that. I have been buying his DVD's of all the OGR editions, two or three at a time. From the very first Biggler days and you guys would be surprised at how the magazine has changed over the years. Don't get me worng it was always good and the original articles are still fun to read to this day. But, it is so much more technically advanced now over the early years. Even the adds are much more fun to read.

That said John produces many great products and is worth a look-see.

Thanks for the kind words, folks.  It was a lot of fun acting as "ringmaster" for the OGR Forum Show.

The important thing is that we hobbyists got a great deal of new information about O gauge developments from the makers in just about an hour and five minutes.

Plus, we discovered from Jim's question to the Forum attendees, that 20 to 25% of you were first time visitors to the Forum meeting.  That is just great.

Oh, and the entertainment wasn't bad either.   Andy and Mike should get Screen Actors Guild cards!

Respectfully submitted
