To any new Magazine readers, subscribers, or forum members.

Its a community of friends and family, that ranges from the forum posters, to the magazine readership, its Editor and Publisher, and Sponsors (Dealers).

No where else, can you get information, advice, purchase info and tech info from a group of people who if you treat them "honestly", will treat you like gold.

The value of all of this far exceeds the cost of a yearly subscription.

The magazines staff will communicate with you via these forums, as well as OGR Sponsors (Dealers).

When you make a purchase thru a OGR sponsor you will have 100% satisfaction that you are being dealt with honestly and fairly.

The forum members are very very helpful and patient, some of them are like having a nice Uncle or Grandfather who regularly talks trains with you.

So here is to all of you! Who make this forum, magazine, and Sponsor/Dealerhips GREAT!

Thanks for the kudos, chipset! The key sentence in your post is this:

"So here is to all of you! Who make this forum, magazine, and Sponsor/Dealerhips GREAT!"

This forum is the biggest and best place on the internet to talk about O Gauge Trains because of YOU FOLKS! We have a truly wonderful group of people here, and each and every one of you help to make this place as "comfortable" as it is.

Thanks to each and every one of you.

Here on the forum, I have probably learned 10 or more years worth of layout knowledge in just a very short time. So I am at least 10 years ahead in that area all because of the folks here and the folks that provide the forum and make it possible.

In other words at least 10 years worth of learning from the 'school of hard knocks' was gained here in just a short time without having to endure any of the 'hard knocks'.

I think the best way I can put this all of the collective parts of OGR feel like family. I say this with feeling because all of the friendships I have made through the Forum and all of the wonderful information provided have added substantially to my enjoyment of this hobby. I am not alone.

This forum has been a "Continuing Education" for all of us in this great hobby in helping us build our layouts. It has also led to meeting some outstanding folks whose knowledge of the intricacies of our control systems has been shared for all of us on this forum. The friendships that I have made here with fellow members is something I treasure.

Big Thanks to Rich & the gang and most of all the "Sponsors".

I am so glad I happened upon O Gauge Railroading magazine in the grocery store of all places a few years ago. Let me express all OGR is.

First the magazine itself is first rate.

Second, the Forum is second to none.

Third, the sponsors are real O gauge railroading folks who know what is wanted and relate to customers well.

Fourth are the Forum members, who provide knowledge, inspiration and friendship.

Words don't suffice how much I appreciate everyone of you no matter which category or categories you belong to.  Many thanks to everyone of you for making it all possible!

Totally agree.  Chipset nailed it.  The OGR forum is vital for any O gauge hobbyist. Something for everyone in O gauge.  I love the well reasoned and excellent technical information from electrical to mechanical to 'artistic'.  I have learned so much and really appreciate the 'gurus' who are willing to help someone all the time.

The OGR forum, magazine and staff are top notch!   I always consider value for the money spent and this forum is probably the best in value you could achieve anywhere.

My best to all the staff, forum sponsors and to all the contributors.

It is also family friendly..if someone was trying to get their child into trains, and we all know these youngsters are PC experts by age 12, there is a distinct possibility that the child and/or his parents are reading or participating on this forum.

Hence, the mature, composed forum members do not scare anyone away.

Also a parent will see that the forum is properly moderated by OGR, the same cannot be said about most of the video game and social media sites youngsters go to these days.

Hence, smart parents will push the model train route hopefully.

Being here since the Fall of 2000 (my join date shows 2001 when the only way to change your screen name was to quit and rejoin) it is amazing to to see just how much the forum has grown.

Despite it's size, it still for the most part has a pretty good family feeling, sometimes dysfunctional, where everyone for the most part will jump at the chance to help whether it's a train issue or what have you.  We  do pretty well.

No doubt the sponsors, OGR, and the trains are important but as Rich said, the members are really what makes this a community.  Hopefully I'll be around for another 14 years and perhaps we'll be still here griping about lack of holographic photography at York.
