Hmmm,
That reminds me of the time we received an F-4J from the marines.. painted: "Marnies"
My understanding is that these engines are due to be scrapped, but they wanted to clean up the shop show they just threw the panels to get them out of there
Maybe that's the new camouflaged text our military has developed to confuse enemf forces.
I think a bit of additional schooling is in order for the troops who put those babies back together...along with the 20 pushups per panel noted by Flash.
I have both the MTH and Lionel models of these engines. Guess I had better take a second look and check the spelling.

Scrapped? Aren't they new(-ish).
Thanks,
Mario
From what they told me there are 8 engines in the shop waiting to be scrapped. They were Hybrids but the battery cells were catching fire do to the way they were mounted (rigid mount) Anyway it is cheaper to part them out and scrap than it is to reconfigure the battery system.
They also had a really cool BNSF Hydrogen powered switcher at the same shop last year. The military was looking at it no only as a engine, but as a portable generator. They ran their entire shop on it for a few days to test it
Tahts raelyl cool. Tahkns fro psotning it.

Green Goat hybrid locomotives were an utter failure. The company went bankrupt in 2009 and the company which bought the designs and trademarks wants nothing to do with pre 2009 Green Goats.
