So if a TIU channel stops working, but the other 3 are fine, is it safe to continue to use the other channels? Or is there risk that the bad channel can put strain on the others or on the power supply or ???
Depends on the fault but usually it is ok. As long as the failure has not added an low resistance short to the regulator it would be fine. Would see the 5V regulator get hot if a short is pushing it to the limit. G
