I went to Texas and Oklahoma this past summer and thought some might enjoy a few pictures from the trip.
Enjoy!

Interesting stuff. Why is that CB&Q locomotive painted & lettered for Texas and Pacific number 400?
Actually it was a Fort Worth and Dallas engine that T&P purchased in the 1950's. The FWD was a subsidiary of the CB&Q.

You mean Fort Worth and Denver, subsidiary of the CB&Q?
Yes, sorry Denver not Dallas. Thinking cities on my trip not railroads when I was typing.
What is the origin of the engine lettered as Frisco #19?
I was just looking through pictures of the Frisco Lindenwood Yard here in St. Louis, Mo., taken around 1955 and saw the Frisco 4501 parked on a siding while the roundhouse was being razed. What a coincidence. Thanks for the pictures.
Wow! Looks like we missed a lot of engines during our recent trip. Will have to return!
