Going to install an old railsounds system from a scale chessie t1 in a spare tender. I think red and white go to track power. What are yellow and green used for? Fyi this is going behind an ac pullmor powered steamer.

i had found that diagram too. The chuff trigger, volume pot and switch are all connected but i still have 4 loose wires. 2 power and 2 for ??
The extra pair is likely the sound lockout switch to turn off chuffing. Try powering it up without that connected. The power wires should be fairly easy to identify, they'll go to the diodes on the power board.
